On March 11th a 9.0 M earthquake shook Northeastern Japan. The following Tsunami and nuclear scare have had a huge impact on the people of Japan,leaving many to face a devastating situation.

Me and my friends who have family and friends in Japan started The Tsuru Project. Right now we are posting selected organizations that you can donate from international countries. We are also planning on doing an Artists benefit auction and some other events to raise money for the relief effort.

Star Wars Galaxy 6 Trading Card

I made some new paintings when I was in Tokyo which are going to a show in Chicago. ---> more info see last blog entryThey are quite big paintings, 18 by 24 inches.

Night on flower bed, feeding sunflowers and knitting rabbits whose eyes grow in the dark. The theme is "The Night in ToTai Island." Mysterious things happen when everyone is asleep, did you know???

Tomenosuke pop up shop @ Shibuya

2011 Calender: "Snacks and Naps For the Year 2011"

12 Artists made 2011 Letterpress Calender.My friend Sara is July, and Nina is September, and I'm December. I made a Lino-cut of a little character floating (napping) on the Christmas snow. Lino-cut is quite hard, but I enjoyed the process a lot.  Maybe in the future I will do more!  thanks Kyle for organizing this project!

I receive this Holiday card from Sara today, so exciting! card it self is hand silk-screened AND when I opened the card those 3 also silk-screened stickers came out.  So beautiful~! Opening:"Lady's night" at My Plastic Heart Gallery

And the second opening was at the my plastic heart gallery in lower east side.I love the name "my plastic Heart!" My new works: My Lady of St. Craft series were shown!  I had a quite tough time making those images. A lot of painting over and redrawing. But I really enjoyed painting those lace and yarn details. I think I will do more of that in the future! some photos from the opening

Hi. last Friday I had 2 group shows openings in NYC.The first one was at the Da Gallery which is owned by non-profit organizations of Korean American Association Greater NY. 37 artists from around the world who create arts about unique human connection with the nature. I think my work can't be more bright and colorful as this one!This is for a "Post It" show at Giant Robot LA in Dec.  Each artists have to use Post it as a base, I thought why not I go all the way with stationary?!  So I got different sparkly stickers to play with, it was super fun project!

Too Tiny Books!

I've been working on little books for "the tiny too show" which opens in Dec,LA.  They were looking for original art work that is smaller than 3 by 3 inches. So I decided to make a small fold out books. I haven't put the front and back covers yet, but here is the inside images. Making these books really made me miss creating hand made books!  I think my next projects would be creating a tiny book store full of these!

Drawing Day---UFO series

I had a drawing day with girls past Sunday and started this UFO series,I've done 3, and the story will continue. I'm excited what the mouse girl and mouse babies will do when they return to the earth! so stay tuned :-)
