New CD and Exhibition announcement!

Screen Shot 2014-02-25 at 4.05.15 PMHello.Hope you are surviving the never ending winter in NY (if you are in NY)... I'm fighting with this weather by wearing extra bright cloths today.

Image for the CD cover from a Japanese client came in. It's nice to see the old work reused in something completely new and different! This CD is like a book on tape, with a Japanese actress Mamiko Noto reading popular literatures by Japanese authors. You can purchase this from - ----> store

With the release of this CD, there will be an event in the end of April in Japan. And will be a small solo exhibition of my drawings and paintings at the space. I will let you know the details once it's near!!

Don't cry for Miss.Q

blog1 blog2 blog3Hello from ceramic studio. This past 3 months were the hardest ceramic making for me. I was making a sculpture call Miss.Q for about a month then sadly Miss.Q broke in the kiln... Then my friend told me Miss.Q could sound like Miscue (= mistake)... I think I cursed this broken Miss from the beginning! Then out of the sadness of the loss of Miss. Q, this piece "She fell down and cry some more" came along... It's still before the bisque fire and glaze... so let's hope this crying lady will come out fine. I'm hoping for the happy happy ceramic days for 2014!!!

Post It Show 9

aya_smallIt's Post-it time of the year again! This year I was traveling while making these images so I had a limited material options to create these.  I think the limitation brought out something new in me, I got to be more experimental and loose up a bit, and it was super fun making them. Here is the info for the show. If you are in LA area you are lucky! Because there will be 300 great artists' work for $25 each! I wish I can be there, too. Happy Post-it show! postits9big

Ceramic friends

some ceramic friends are coming out from Kiln. I have still so much to learn but slowly I'm getting use to the process.Ceramic is such a surprising medium, especially the glazing process. I would never know how it will come out which is very suspenseful.

New Lamp Shade ( Ceradon finished, I was debating on having it just white but I wanted to try out Ceradon to make it to have a summer water feeling.)
